Wade Johnson is a commercial trial lawyer and licensed patent attorney who is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group. Wade’s practice involves representing clients in complex litigation matters in Federal and State Courts, arbitration proceedings and mediation. His expertise includes preparing litigation budgets and case assessments, conducting pre-trial discovery, electronic discovery processes and procedures, preparing and arguing motions and defending and examining fact and expert witnesses in depositions and at trial. He also has substantial experience in negotiating and preparing license agreements, non-disclosure agreements and settlement agreements.


Prior to joining Andrews Myers, Wade was the managing partner of litigation at a commercial and intellectual property boutique firm and AMLAW 200 firm partner.

  • Represented midstream oil and gas company in class action dispute concerning oil and gas royalty payments and associated fees
  • Represented oil and gas pipe manufacturer in litigation brought by energy exploration company concerning a down-hole well failure
  • Represented energy exploration company in lawsuit against drilling contractor concerning the applicable drilling rate under the parties’ drilling contract

  • Represented the sellers of three oilfield services companies in defending claims of alleged fraud and breach of the share purchase agreement for failing to disclose alleged customer issues and a material adverse change and in asserting counterclaims for the hold back amount held in escrow, which resulted in a favorable jury verdict
  • Represented an oilfield services company that merged at its directors in defending securities class action, which resulted in the court denying class certification and dismissing the lawsuit
