Construction Lawyer - Ieshia J. Dunmore
Ieshia Dunmore’s practice focuses on advocating for general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and owners on a variety of construction related issues including: construction defects, contract termination, mechanic’s liens, performance and payment bonds, breach of contract disputes, and collections matters through litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Prior to joining the firm, Ieshia worked with a boutique construction law firm, where she represented over 200 clients as outside counsel, garnering first chair trial experience in more than 16 bench and jury trials and served as lead counsel in over 75 civil evidentiary hearings. She also has significant experience in construction transactional matters, including contract drafting, negotiation and review.

- Represented suppliers and subcontractors in collecting unpaid amounts through breach of contract lawsuits and foreclosures on perfected mechanic’s liens.
- Acting general counsel for several contractors for small local businesses, mid-level companies, and contractors with multimillion-dollar revenues.
- Represented an owner by contesting and successfully removing over a million dollars in invalid liens.
- Represented multiple subcontractors disputing delay in payment, non-payment, and back-charges from general contractors.
- Has prevented disputes by drafting subcontract agreements and invoices that adequately protect their interests and negotiating contracts with general contractors that initially can be very restrictive towards the subcontractors involved.
