As a former Texas judge, Sharon McCally focuses her current practice on civil litigation and civil appellate briefing and argument. For over 20 years, Sharon has honed her skills as a trial and appellate attorney in both state and federal courts across the country for plaintiffs and defendants, individuals and corporations. She has experience in trial and appellate support for complex multidistrict claims, commercial disputes, insurance and bad faith disputes, oil and gas, property-right disputes, construction litigation, civil-rights suits, and injury claims. She is also well versed in the resolution of complex procedural matters of jurisdiction, venue and arbitration in state and federal courts. Sharon’s judicial service includes six years as a Harris County District Judge of the 334th Judicial District Court, managing one of the largest civil dockets in the United States. Sharon’s judicial service also includes six years as a Texas Appellate Court Justice on the 14th Court of Appeals, researching and analyzing complex concepts of law, drafting substantial majority and dissenting opinions, and collaborating with judicial colleagues to minimize analytical discord and narrow appropriate resolution. During law school at South Texas College of Law, Sharon participated extensively in the advocacy program, acquiring recognition as a national champion in both Moot Court and Mock Trial. During this time, she also clerked for United States District Judge David Hittner of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She remains active in the STCL advocacy program.Trial and Appellate Attorney - Sharon McCally
