Wesley M. Walker

Overview

Wesley M. Walker is a Houston-based trial attorney focusing on construction litigation and employment law. He represents general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners in a wide range of construction disputes, including payment disputes, delay claims, liquidated damages claims, and backcharge disputes. He also helps suppliers, contractors, and other commercial construction creditors recover unpaid invoices and past-due accounts through demand letters and lawsuits. Clients rely on his candid cost-benefit advice in determining whether a recovery is worth pursuing.

In his employment practice, Wes also represents employers in workplace and employment matters throughout Texas, including contested litigation before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. His OSHA citation defense work includes: rapid response to jobsite fatalities and other serious workplace incidents, informal conferences with OSHA area offices, and settlement negotiations with U.S. Department of Labor counsel.

Before joining the firm, Wes was a management consulting executive at a global professional services firm, where he combined business strategy with legal training to help public sector clients manage complex, high-value government contracts with national vendors and quasi-governmental entities by translating policy requirements into enforceable vendor obligations, strengthening performance management, and mitigating risk.

Wes also practiced at a large national insurance defense firm as a member of its complex tort and general casualty practice group. There, he frequently represented a national rideshare company and several construction and energy clients, and evaluated ERISA and non-ERISA disability, life, and health coverage disputes for insurers and self-funded plans.
