A. What You Provide

Depending on how you interact with the Services—for example, by browsing our site, registering for content, attending events, applying for a position, subscribing to newsletters, requesting legal services, or communicating with us—we may collect information such as your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, communication preferences, the services or topics you may be interested in, your occupation or title, and event registration details ("Personal Information," as described below).

If you engage the Firm for legal services, we may also collect billing and payment information, details about you and/or your organization, information relevant to your legal matter, and other related information needed to provide those services. Please do not submit confidential, sensitive, or privileged information through the Services. Sending information through the Services or emailing us does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship.

In this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” generally means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked to an individual, directly or indirectly, as that concept is defined under applicable privacy laws and regulations (unless we state a different definition for a specific context). We may use this information to provide the Services, verify or update our records, supplement information you have provided (including, where appropriate and with any required consent, background screening such as credit or criminal-history checks), help detect and prevent fraud, maintain security, and support our marketing and other business activities.

We seek to collect only the Personal Information that is reasonably necessary for providing the Services and running our business.

A.  Use and Purpose of Processing Your Information

We may use Personal Information for purposes that include:

Providing legal services, or evaluating and discussing a potential attorney-client engagement (use of this website is for informational and advertising purposes and does not itself create an attorney-client relationship).

Processing your registration for newsletters, alerts, or similar communications, including verifying that the email address you provide is valid.

Delivering newsletters and alerts when you have asked to receive them.

Responding to your requests, questions, and other communications, and providing the information or services you seek.

Combining or comparing the information you provide with other information we have or may obtain about you from permitted sources.

Protection and security: We may share information to help safeguard our users and clients, reduce fraud and misuse, address unauthorized activity, and protect the rights and property of the Firm, third parties, you, and others, including by enforcing our agreements.

With your permission: We may share information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy when you consent.

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify an individual, without restriction.

C. Retention of Personal Information

We keep Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes. We may also retain and use Personal Information as needed to comply with legal obligations (including applicable limitation periods), support or defend legal claims, address disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain records consistent with our standard retention practices based on the nature and duration of your interactions with the Services. We do not commit to retaining information indefinitely.

Information may remain in backup, archival, or business-continuity systems for an additional period of time

MARKETING AND ADVERTISING

We may contact you with legal updates, alerts, news, and information about seminars or events that may interest you. Communications are typically sent by email. In some cases, we may use information about you to tailor the marketing messages we send. If you opt out of marketing communications or do not provide consent where required, we may still send non-marketing communications (for example, messages related to legal services). We may also share information with our affiliates, which may use it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

The Services may include links that take you to third-party websites or other online resources. Those third parties may collect information about you, use cookies or similar technologies, and maintain their own privacy practices. The Firm does not control, and is not responsible for, third-party content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit. A link does not mean the Firm endorses or recommends that third-party site or its content.

UNITED STATES JURISDICTION

The Services are operated from the United States, and information we collect may be stored and processed in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, and processed and stored in, the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Services or providing information to us, you consent to these transfers. Portions of the Services may be supported by cloud or network resources located in other jurisdictions. The Firm does not represent that the Services are appropriate or available in every jurisdiction.

DATA PROTECTION

We take reasonable measures designed to protect the security of the information we collect, including physical, technical, and administrative safeguards. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. You should not assume that information you transmit to us will always remain confidential. The Firm does not guarantee that information will not be accessed, used, or disclosed in ways that are not authorized, and we disclaim liability to the extent permitted by law for such misuse or disclosure.

If you believe your Personal Information has been compromised in connection with your use of the Services, please notify the Firm promptly so we can review the issue and take appropriate steps.

UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION

We strive to keep the Personal Information we maintain accurate and up to date so we can provide a high level of service. From time to time, we may request that you confirm or update your information, and we encourage you to let us know if any of your information changes.

CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

The Services are intended for adults (18 and older) and are not directed to children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 (or an older age threshold where required by law), we will take steps to delete that information as required. If you believe we have collected such information in error, please contact us.

CONSENT

By using the Services, you consent to our collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you withdraw your consent, we may still use information previously collected to the extent necessary to meet legal or contractual obligations and to enforce any agreements you have with us. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide certain Services.

When we make changes, we will revise the effective date, and the updated policy will apply as of the date it is posted. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically.
