Andrews Myers Assists East Montgomery County Improvement District with Valley Ranch Convention Center Project

Andrews Myers is proud to have assisted the East Montgomery County Improvement District in drafting and negotiating the contract for its new Convention Center, a 210,070-square-foot venue located in Valley Ranch Town Center in New Caney, at the intersection of I-69 and the Grand Parkway (SH 99), the third loop around Houston.

Designed by Helman Hurley Charvat Peacock/Architects, Inc. (HHCP), the facility will feature a nearly 55,000-square-foot ballroom/exhibition hall, close to 20,000 square feet of meeting space, and more than 40,000 square feet of pre-function, lobby, and outdoor courtyards. The center’s flexible design and advanced technology will allow it to accommodate a wide range of events, from large gatherings of over 6,000 attendees to smaller, more intimate meetings. The exhibition hall can be divided into up to seven smaller rooms, and two signature meeting rooms offer spectacular views of Valley Ranch, including access to a terrace.

Over the next 30 years, the project is expected to generate nearly $1.73 billion in net new spending within the district, $775 million in net new earnings, and more than 500 direct and indirect full-time equivalent jobs at stabilization. The project is also projected to generate approximately $35.1 million in sales, hotel, and venue taxes for the district, supported through sales tax revenue bonds.
