Three firm attorneys, Bill Andrews, Tom Myers and Ben Westcott, were individually recognized as leading construction lawyers.
A firm that Chambers describes as ” one of the most diverse practices in the state,” Andrews Myers, P.C. provides construction law, commercial real estate and corporate legal services. Bill Andrews was listed with a number one ranking among construction lawyers in the state. He has more than 29 years of experience in complex construction and engineering-related disputes, claims, litigation, arbitrations and mediations. The Chambers directory, which uses client and attorney interviews to rank lawyers, quotes one interviewee who described Andrews as “one of the most respected construction lawyers in Texas.” This is the fifth year that Andrews has been acknowledged by Chambers USA.
Tom Myers and Eric Cohen were also singled out as leaders for their construction law work receiving a number three ranking. Myers’ 25-year practice includes construction-related transactions, claims and insurance, risk management, surety workouts, litigation, and arbitrations. Chambers noted that clients appreciate his “low-key, detail-oriented style and his flexibility.” Cohen has more than 13 years of experience in construction transactions, claims, litigation and arbitration, and is described by Chambers as a “very bright young lawyer.”
Ben Westcott has “impressed peers” with his litigation and transactional work. Other career highlights include “Texas Rising Star,” 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
