Adam Robertson is a seasoned litigator with a practice focused on construction, business, and real estate disputes. He regularly represents clients in defects claims, schedule delays, warranty issues, payment disputes, lien actions, and claims involving changes in scope of work. His real estate practice encompasses disputes over boundaries, easements, partitions, adverse possession, good faith claims for mineral rights, restrictive covenants, and lease agreements. Adam also has significant experience with corporate transactions involving breaches of fiduciary duty, non-compete agreement violations, trade secret misappropriation, and other business torts.
Using his experiences from his diverse litigation background, Adam regularly advises his clients on best business practices and proactive contractual provisions to mitigate or avoid legal liabilities. He aims to understand each client’s unique business objectives and challenges to provide tailored guidance.
Adam joined the firm in 2020, and also proudly serves as a coach for the University of Houston Law Center’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and the University of Houston Law Center’s Mock Trial Team.
Adam received his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center and Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Edward’s University.

Representative Experience
- Represent multiple joint owners in a partition-by-sale lawsuit regarding 100-plus raw acres of land near DFW Airport. Successfully obtained judgments that avoided public foreclosure and allowed private marketing and competitive bidding, dismissed counterclaims seeking reduction of sale proceeds based on contribution allegations, and awarded clients their respective ownership interests in final $45-million sale.
- Represent owner in multimillion-dollar arbitration in which the general contractor wrongfully abandoned a lump-sum project due to price escalation issues caused by the general contractor. After using project records, correspondence, witness testimony, and expert evaluations, demonstrated likelihood of success and reached favorable resolution shortly before final hearing.
- Represented subcontractor in payment dispute concerning multi-year construction project for a chemical plant, obtained a multi-million dollar award in favor of client
- Defended company in employment discrimination lawsuit, his motion for summary judgement resulted in all claims dismissed
- Represented corporation in declaratory judgment dispute concerning easement rights. Based on legal analysis, and no compensation, negotiated realy resolution in which client’s property rights were confirmed
- Represented and defended various corporations, companies and respective board of directors and members in litigation involving asset seizure, property disputes, breaches of contract, and declaratory judgments.
- Represented non-profit seeking conveyance of commercial property. As second chair, obtained a favorable trial verdict mandating conveyance and awarding attorneys’ fees.
- Represented business owner in an eminent domain proceeding and obtained a substantially higher compensation than originally offered.
- Represented a corporation in federal court seeking damages under the Texas Fraudulent Transfer Act. With a pending dispositive motion, obtained a favorable early resolution that included recovering attorneys’ fees.
- Defended commercial association and board of directors in a contract dispute. Obtained a favorable summary judgment that was upheld on appeal.
- Represented non-profit corporation in a contract enforcement dispute. As first chair, obtained declaratory judgment, injunctive relief enforcing the contract.
- Represented trustees in a breach of fiduciary duty dispute. As second chair, obtained declaratory judgment and injunctive relief that prevented the misappropriation of trust funds.
- Represented real estate developer in a land-use dispute involving a mixed-use project. As second chair, obtained a favorable temporary injunction and award of attorneys’ fees that forced early resolution.
- Defended non-profit corporation and directors in a defamation lawsuit. His summary judgement motion was granted and upheld on appeal.
- Defended national amusement park in a federal lawsuit that focused on operating procedures and premises liability disputes. As second chair, obtained a defense jury verdict.
- Defended industrial general contractor in a complex premises liability dispute. Obtained favorable jury verdict for an amount significantly less than pre-trial offers and demands.
- Defended transportation broker in a negligent contracting dispute in federal court. Successfully negotiated a voluntary dismissal all claims with no consideration tendered.
- Defended Fortune 50 Company in numerous lawsuits involving transportation logistics in both federal and state court that resulted in summary judgments and favorable resolutions via negotiations.
