Marc Jacobs’ practice focuses on all facets of commercial real estate, including the acquisition, disposition, leasing, capitalizing, financing, and development of all product types of commercial real estate. He has considerable experience with forming and structuring limited partnerships and limited liability companies. He represents landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters and represents clients with their ongoing business activities and general contract matters.

Earlier in his career, Marc also managed various complex litigation matters for one of the largest independent banks in Texas before it was sold to a large multinational Spanish banking group.

Marc speaks fluent Spanish and has extensive experience with cross-border business and real estate transactions in Mexico.

  • Represented a Houston-based investor in the acquisition and disposition of multiple, large mobile home parks throughout Texas
  • Represented one of Texas’ largest commercial real estate companies, headquartered in Houston, with a long focus on retail in connection with the financing and refinancing of various shopping centers primarily in Texas
  • Represented a Houston-based leading owner and operator of industrial, logistics, outdoor storage, and warehouse/distribution properties in the acquisition, disposition, leasing, and financing of such properties
  • Represented a New York-based real estate investment manager that currently manages over $10 billion in commingled funds and separate managed accounts on behalf of public and private pension plans, endowments, family offices and sovereign wealth funds in the acquisition of self-storage properties in Arizona and Texas
  • Represented a Houston-based owner and operator of value-add retail properties in the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of multiple shopping centers across the Houston MSA
  • Represented a Houston-based investor in the acquisition and leasing of property located along the Houston Ship Channel
  • Represented the owner of a Texas-based affiliate of a Mexican food manufacturing, distribution, and marketing company in connection with the sale of the company to the second-largest Coca-Cola bottler in Latin America, and one of the largest in the world, which is publicly traded on the Mexican Stock Exchange
  • Represented a Houston-based family office in the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of various commercial properties in the Houston MSA as well as the acquisition of a family ranch
  • Represented a Houston-based family office in the acquisition and subdivision of a 140-acre parcel outside of Houston for the development of a community of family farms
