City of Austin Accepts GA 14 Executive Order

City of Austin Offers Supplemental Guidance on GA 14

 

Austin — April 2, 2020  —  All construction work permitted in the Governor’s March 31, 2020 Executive Order (No. GA 14) is permitted. The City of Austin will no longer prohibit commercial or residential construction projects.

The City of Austin Development Services Department’s statement included, “Consistent with the Governor’s orders, all construction is considered essential. Committee review is no longer required to determine eligibility for project continuation.”

There are some employer requirements for all construction work outlined in the response with regards to safety measures and employment practices intended to protect workers. Click here for the COA Response.
