HOUSTON, TX — Andrews Myers P.C., known for its core range of legal services critical to mid-market businesses, announces that Michael “Mike” Cortez has been promoted to Shareholder.
Mike Cortez leads the construction transactional law practice for the firm with more than 22 years of experience as a Texas-based construction attorney. His practice is focused on negotiating and drafting complex construction contracts under multiple project delivery systems for owners, developers, contractors and EPCs on a wide variety of project types.
Prior to joining the firm, Mike served as project counsel with the largest engineering and construction company in the United States, where he negotiated downstream procurement and service agreements, subcontracts and financial security agreements for an international mega-LNG project. He also served as in-house construction counsel for a Houston-based national multi-family developer.

Mike Cortez graduated from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Texas A&M University.
