CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT REVIEW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Fish Construction, Inc. recently completed its portion of the second and final phase of the $201.6 million terminal modernization project at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport in Birmingham, Alabama.

The modernization project expanded the existing airport to three concourses with 19 gates, including two international gates and room for four future gates, nearly doubling the size of the airport. New passenger and baggage screening systems were also installed to meet the current federal guidelines.

Andrews Myers assisted with contract negotiations with the prime contractor and the subcontractors and suppliers hired by Fish.  Andrews Myers also assisted with payment, scheduling and change order disputes, and project closeout issues.  Andrews Myers also assisted with subcontractor claims and back-charges.  Lastly, the Firm successfully defended the company in connection with third party claims for personal injuries, while navigating complex liability and coverage issues.
