Construction Attorney - Varun Reddy
Varun Reddy is an associate in the firm’s Austin office who advocates for general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project owners in various capacities, including litigation, negotiations and contract review.
In law school, Varun was a Leon Jaworski scholar, earning a full-tuition scholarship for his oral advocacy abilities. He competed on numerous advocacy teams for Baylor’s nationally ranked advocacy programs and was the recipient of both the Bob and Karen Wortham Practice Court Award and the Bruster and Langston Intellectual Property and Advocacy Award.
Prior to joining the firm, Varun practiced with a full service Texas-based law firm.

- Assist in the representation of owner, general contractor and subcontractor clients on a variety of different matters including breach of contract claims, settlement negotiations, lien removal and debt collections

- Represented subcontractors, materials manufacturers, hospitals, and recreational facilities in premises liability, construction defect, medical malpractice, and business litigation cases
- Conducted and defended depositions in premises liability and construction matters
- Drafted and argued dispositive motions including summary judgments, Rule 91a motions to dismiss, Chapter 74 motions to dismiss, and TCPA motions to dismiss
- Attended and drafted pleadings in arbitration proceedings in RCLA and DTPA-related construction matters
- Participated in all aspects of the insurance claims process, including drafting initial lawsuit evaluations, IIERs, and corresponded with adjusters, clients, and opposing counsel
