Andrews Myers Promotes Two to Senior Counsel; Three to Senior Associate

HOUSTON, TX (January 3,2022) — Andrews Myers is pleased to announce that five of its attorneys have been promoted in 2022.

 

SENIOR COUNSEL

KATHRYN BAIRD – Katy Baird’s practice focuses on advocating for general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and owners on a variety of construction related issues including: construction defects, contract termination, mechanic’s liens, performance and payment bonds, breach of contract disputes, and collections matters through litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Katy also uses her Masters of Business Administration to provide her clients with company specific legal support and litigation/dispute strategies that strive to further each of her clients’ business/fiscal goals.

Katy received her Juris Doctor from University of Houston Law Center, her MBA from University of Houston and her BBA from The University of Texas.

MATTHEW CIRE – Matthew Cire’s litigation practice focuses primarily on real estate and construction matters, as well as various commercial litigation issues. He has handled several cases for clients involving landlord-tenant disputes, quality assurance and fair housing claims, performance and payment bonds, breach of contract issues and collections.

Matthew received his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law and Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

SENIOR ASSOCIATES

ANDREW CLARK – Andy Clark’s practice focuses on advocating for clients in business litigation matters, including commercial, construction and employment issues. Andy has represented businesses in breach of contract disputes, non-compete and trade secret litigation, government agency investigations, wage-and-hour collective actions, and employment discrimination claims.

Andy received his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law and Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from The University of Michigan.

ADAM ROBERTSON – Adam Robertson has served as first and second chair in state and federal courts on matters related to real estate disputes, breaches of contracts, enforcement of commercial property restrictions, fiduciary breaches, and commercial personal injury. This diverse trial experience allows Adam to regularly assist clients on contract disputes, business-related torts, employment-related lawsuits, construction defect allegations, real-estate disputes, enforcement of non-compete agreements, and personal injury claims.

Adam received his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center and Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Edward’s University.

LAUREN SCROGGS – Lauren Scroggs’ practice focuses on advocating for general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project owners in various capacities, including litigation, negotiations, contract review, and appeals.

Lauren received her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law and Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
