Andrews Myers Announces New Co-Managing Shareholder and Welcomes Four New Shareholders

HOUSTON, TX (January 3, 2022) – Andrews Myers announces that Timothy C. Ross has replaced Patrick O. Hayes in his role as Co-Managing Shareholder; current Co-Managing Shareholder William B. Westcott will remain in his role. In addition, the firm recognizes new Shareholders Susan R. George and Joshua W. Harrison of the Houston office, and Andrew S. Harris and Scott P. McKaig of the Austin office.

LEADERSHIP

TIMOTHY C. ROSS – Shareholder Tim Ross, a 15+ year attorney with a practice focused on all aspects of construction law, replaces Patrick O. Hayes as Co-Managing Shareholder. Tim joined Andrews Myers over a decade ago, working with clients in all phases of the construction process including contract drafting and negotiation, dispute avoidance during construction, field management and administration, project close-out and dispute resolution. Tim’s legal acumen is complemented by field experience with a large commercial general contractor, where he managed numerous projects as a construction project engineer prior to attending law school.

Board Certified in Construction Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Tim has been recognized as a leading construction lawyer in the state by the prestigious legal directory, Chambers USA, America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, since 2020.

Patrick Hayes joined Andrews Myers in 2006 as the firm’s first real estate and corporate attorney, quickly rising to become the firm’s managing shareholder and then co-managing shareholder these last several years. Under his guidance, the then-boutique firm grew and expanded its core competencies based on sound strategic guidance and advanced technological advances. He now plans to focus solely on his bourgeoning transactional practice group, of which he is the department leader.

“We would like to thank Patrick for 13 years of stellar service to the firm in his role of managing shareholder. Patrick had the vision to grow and expand the firm into new core competencies and increase our footprint in the Texas legal market. Tim has led most of our hiring efforts in the past several years and has earnestly prepared himself to assume this new leadership role.  Tim is well-positioned to step in and continue to drive our firm’s strategic initiatives. That said, I’m thankful that Patrick will still be right down the hall, as Tim and I will have big shoes to fill,” said Ben Westcott.
