HOUSTON, TX (January 21, 2021) — On January 14, Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston (ABC) recognized Elaine Howard with Andrews Myers as the 2020 Board Member of the Year at the annual 2021 Inaugural Celebration.
After the pandemic outbreak, and throughout the uncertainty of wondering what information was relevant to contractors, through constant doubts and confusion, Elaine Howard answered the call to volunteer to provide expertise on weekly conference calls.
“Elaine almost never missed a meeting and helped share relevant and timely information to members including the COVID vaccine timeline, FMLA, White House executive orders, and other public service announcements,” said Russell Hamley, President of ABC Greater Houston. “ABC is very thankful to have had Elaine help with these conference calls, in addition to volunteering and attending other ABC events and committee meetings. Through efforts, ABC was able to keep members informed and connected throughout the pandemic. We are very pleased to present Elaine with this award.”
At the same event, ABC recognized Andrews Myers with the 2020 Member Company of the Year Award.
“2020 was a year full of challenges for the association, but we could not go forward in 2021 without acknowledging the support of Andrews Myers,” said Russell Hamley, President of ABC Greater Houston. “Whether it was participating in weekly conference calls, attending committee meetings, or just being a resource for the association and its members, Andrews Myers has gone above and beyond to step up and support ABC in multiple capacities.
