HOUSTON, TX (January 1, 2026) — Andrews Myers is pleased to announce six attorney promotions: Colby Binford to the position of Shareholder; Marcela Arevalo, Lucas Diaz, Yvonne Nguyen, Wesley Walker and John Williamson to Senior Associate.
SHAREHOLDER
COLBY BINFORD – Trial attorney Colby Binford’s practice focuses on construction law, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. Based in the Houston office, he represents general contractors, subcontractors, and small to mid-sized companies in a variety of construction and business related disputes. He also represents nationally known clients within the real estate development, property management and industrial business sectors, often serving as outside general counsel for multiple property management companies.
Colby received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and B.A. degree from Sam Houston State University.

MARCELA ARÉVALO – Marcela Arévalo is based in the Houston office in the Construction Litigation practice group. Her practice focuses on construction and commercial litigation.
Marcela earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law and B.S. from University of Houston.
LUCAS DIAZ – Lucas Diaz is based in the Houston office in the Business Litigation practice group. He is a commercial litigator whose practice focuses primarily on complex real estate and business disputes across Texas.
Lucas earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law and B.A. from University of Mississippi.
YVONNE N. NGUYEN – Yvonne Nguyen is based in the Houston office in the Commercial Real Estate and Construction practice groups. She is a transactional attorney whose practice focuses primarily on drafting, negotiating and advising on complex construction and commercial contracts, as well as acquisition, disposition, development and leasing agreements.
Yvonne earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law and B.A. from University of Texas at Arlington.
WESLEY M. WALKER – Wes Walker is based in the Houston office in the Construction Litigation practice group. He represents general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and owners in a variety of related construction-oriented disputes; he also has experience as an employment litigator, advising clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Wes earned his J.D. from Samford University Cumberland School of Law and B.A. from University of Alabama.
JOHN G. WILLIAMSON – John Williamson is based in the Houston office in the Business Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice on business litigation, construction litigation, and real estate litigation, representing a variety of clients in multiple industries.
John earned his J.D. from University of Houston Law Center, M.P.A. from University of North Carolina, and B.S. from Rice University where he played D1 baseball.
